The Peer-Career
Coaching Forum
What is it?
Whether you’re currently in the workforce or want to get back in, the Peer-Career Coaching Forum is a group coaching program for people ready to take the next step in managing their careers. In Forum discussions, you will learn more about yourself and your style, exchange best practices, brainstorm and get feedback on new approaches, and build a plan for achieving your professional goals. By tapping into the collective knowledge and experience of your peers, you can achieve the results you desire more quickly than you might on your own.
Who are the members?
Peer-Career Coaching Forums consist of 3–5 highly motivated, goal-oriented people who are ready to take the step in their career planning. Members have varied professional and personal backgrounds and experience, and include women interested in corporate, small business, entrepreneurial and not-for-profit work. This mix allows for fresh perspectives and rich discussion.
What to expect?
Meetings are typically twice per month for 1–2 hours, in-person, by phone or in some combination based on members’ schedules and circumstances. Topics for discussion are driven by the needs and interests of each member, and vary from meeting to meeting. All conversations are confidential.
What’s Donna’s role?
Donna leads the group toward productive outcomes for each member. She guides members toward clarity, about themselves and the work they want. At each meeting, Donna stimulates discussion and balances the conversation so that no one dominates or disappears.
Donna also offers each member 90 minutes of one-on-one, individualized coaching during the term of the agreement. The coaching can be used in a single session or otherwise divided over the term.
How does it work?
Qualified members will be matched and invited to join a Peer-Career Coaching Forum based on an interview and application. Members agree to an initial 3-month term and commit to having candid, supportive and balanced (take and give), confidential conversations.
